Using architecture to strengthen relationships.

An opportunity to use Design/Build to deliver a modest public project on a tight budget. The concept came from a desire to make the UW campus police more visible and accessible to the community it serves. A welcoming front door and community room face the street and central campus and the public restrooms have become well used by transgender students, an example of using architecture to strengthen relationships and dialogues between diverse groups.
